Golden Milk🫚🍵

Golden milk, traditionally known as haldi doodh in India, is a vibrant, golden-yellow beverage that has been used for centuries within Ayurvedic medicine to promote wellness, improve sleep, and boost immunity. It is created by warming cow's milk or plant-based alternatives (such as almond or coconut milk) with turmeric, the "golden spice" responsible for the drink's name and its primary anti-inflammatory compound, curcumin. The drink is commonly spiced further with ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper-the latter being essential to enhance the absorption of curcumin by up to 2,000%. Known as a "hug in a mug," this comforting remedy is highly regarded for its powerful antioxidant properties, aiding in joint pain relief, supporting heart health, improving digestion, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases. It is often enjoyed as a soothing, caffeine-free bedtime drink, and its popularity as a "turmeric latte" has grown globally, making it a functional, nutrient-dense addition to a balanced lifestyle.
